SAPC FAQ's
The MIEM School Administrative Professional Certification Program (SAPC) is a voluntary certification program sponsored by the Michigan Institute for Educational Management (MIEM).

SAPC Core Curriculum
Read the course descriptions for the required core curriculum offered through the SAPC Certification Program.

SAPC Elective Curriculum
Three classes should be elective classes. Any of the programs that MIEM offers can be counted as electives. MIEM will provide an annual schedule for certification classes. Every class will be offered at least once in a three-year period. Many classes are offered every year or every other year based on need.

SAPC Applications & Forms:

Letter of Application
Fill this out and send to the MIEM office to enroll in the school administrative professional certification process.

Request for Grandparenting Credit
This form allows SAPC Program participants to request credit for a SAPC class by merits of prior professional development classes or work experience.

Participants may be eligible to apply for grandparenting based on experience in an administrative support position. Based on the following schedule: 6-10 years allows 6 classes of credit; 11-15 years allows 8 classes of credit; and over 15 years allows 10 classes of credit. Submit the appropriate forms and $30 grandparenting fee if eligible.

Request for SAPC Program Credit (not administered through MIEM)
This form allows SAPC Program participants to request credit for a SAPC curriculum class that was not provided by MIEM. 

The Request for Extension form is filled out if you have missed your deadline to complete or renew in the SAPC program and need more time to achieve your goal.

The SAPC Final Application is filled out by those who have completed all the certification course requirements.

The SAPC Renewal Application is the final step in the renewal process. Renewing SAPC certification is done every five years. For more information, read SAPC FAQ's.
